Boxabl maps where its Casitas actually live — and confirms the Baby Box has no production date

A September 9 press release details six named Casita deployments across Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, South Carolina, and Texas — and makes the clearest public statement yet that the Baby Box remains in prototype with no production start date.

What the release covers

On September 9, 2026, Boxabl published a press release on PR Newswire listing the completed and in-progress Casita projects that make up its operational portfolio as of that date. The release names specific sites, identifies the number of units at each, and discloses product-status details that are more direct than the company's usual marketing language. This article pulls out the facts that matter to buyers.

The deployment map: six named projects

American Campground, Las Vegas, Nevada. Twelve Casita units installed in permanent use as park-model RV accommodations on Las Vegas Boulevard. These units are classified under the RV industry's park-model standard, not as residential dwellings, which is consistent with their use as fixed lodging for a commercial campground rather than individually owned homes.

Wildfire relief, Pasadena, California. One Casita unit was supplied to support relief efforts after the January 2025 Los Angeles-area wildfires. One unit is a small number; Boxabl describes the deployment as a proof-of-concept for its disaster-response use case rather than a scaled relief program.

Catholic Charities, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A builder-turned-developer completed a 12-unit stacked Casita project for Catholic Charities — described in the release as one of the first multi-unit, stacked deployments for a mission-driven housing project. Stacked Casita installations are part of Boxabl's multi-unit strategy, and this project is the clearest public example of that approach working in practice.

Pasadera, Stillwater, Oklahoma. The same Oklahoma City developer — Zach Punnett — followed the Catholic Charities project by building Pasadera, a 12-unit Casita community on roughly three acres near Oklahoma State University. Units are fully furnished and marketed as a short-term rental destination for game-day visitors and business travelers. The release describes Pasadera as the first commercial short-term rental community built on Boxabl's technology.

Horizons Getaways, multiple states. Boxabl is working with Horizons Getaways on a network of eco-luxury cabin resorts. Ten units have been delivered: some to Hideaway Inn in Patrick, South Carolina and others to a property in Grapeland, Texas. Additional sites are planned in Tennessee, Florida, California, and Ohio.

Individual backyard and ADU installations, nationwide. Beyond the named institutional projects, the company continues one-at-a-time deliveries to homeowners, small builders, and dealers. No specific count is given.

States with regulatory approval

As of the September 9 release, the Casita Studio has regulatory approval to be sold and installed in six states: Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, South Carolina, and Texas. New Mexico and South Carolina appear in this list for the first time in a Boxabl press release; prior communications had consistently cited four states. Buyers in other states should confirm local approval status directly with Boxabl or their dealer before ordering.

Baby Box: no production start date

The most buyer-relevant disclosure in the release is the company's current description of the Baby Box: "currently in the prototype phase, and a production start date has not yet been determined."

That is a direct contradiction of the "anticipated production in late 2026" language that has appeared in some unofficial shareholder communications. Individual buyers who have placed preorders and are planning around a 2026 delivery should update their assumptions. The company is still taking preorders at boxabl.com/baby-box, but there is no committed timeline.

Developer program minimum: 100 units

The release describes the "Build with BOXABL" developer program as currently available only for orders of 100 units or more. This is not a program for individual buyers, small builders, or anyone purchasing a single-family home or a small ADU. The path for individual buyers remains the standard order process through a dealer or directly through boxabl.com.

What to take from this

The practical picture from this release: Boxabl has delivered Casitas into a specific, narrow set of use cases — campground accommodations, disaster relief, nonprofit housing, and short-term rental resorts — plus individual backyard installations. It is a real, operating manufacturer with documented multi-unit deployments. It also has a second product (Baby Box) in prototype with no ship date and a developer program that individual buyers cannot access.

If you are evaluating a Casita purchase today, the six-state approval list and the individual order process are the facts that govern your decision. The rest of this release is a current portfolio update, not a change in what you can buy.
